I took a little road trip from Nashville to Leipers Fork, TN. It's a small rural village in Williamson County about 40 minutes outside of Nashville. It’s was a very scenic drive. Over the past few years, Leiper's Fork has developed into a tourist spot known for its music, shopping, food, historical preservation, and celebrity presence. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, but not overly crowded. It definitely seemed like most of the people were locals. This is the perfect afternoon getaway from the city for a girls trip or a date.
There are a few art galleries, gift shops and antique shops. Unfortunately, Tennessee Turquoise Co. (owned by Morgane Stapleton) was closed for maintenance. We didn't see everything, but my favorite shops were Props, Textile Revival, Patina, and David Arms.
One of my favorite parts of the day was Wines in the Fork, a wine tasting room. They had live music out back and you could sit in chairs in the creek.
The Leiper's Fork Distillery was closed for a private event, but I am excited to check it out next time!

- Chris Stapleton and his wife own and live on a farm in Leiper's Fork and are neighbors with Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
- The population is around 650
- Leiper's Fork is located along the Natchez Trace, which was an important travel route for Native Americans and early European-American settlers.
