New England

Boston, Massachusetts had been at the top of my bucket list for quite some time. This summer my friends and I rented a car and drove from New York to Boston. We looked into taking a train, but we decided to rent a car so we could stop where we wanted along the way and check a couple states off the bucket list.

Stop #1 New Haven, Connecticut

Our first stop in New Haven was less than 2 hours from New York. We stopped at Yale University where we explored a the campus and visited a few of the campus stores and a local coffee/smoothie shop. I have fantasized about visiting Ivy League schools ever since I was a little girl and the architecture was nothing short of breathtaking.

Stop #2 Providence, Rhode Island

The second city we stopped in was Providence, RI. It was less than two hours from New Haven. We stopped at Brown University at the bookstore and walked to the Van Wickle gates that have been there since 1901.

Stop #3 Boston, Massachusetts (our final destination)

We spent the night at a Red Sox game and spent all of Saturday in exploring Boston.

The weather this time of year was perfect! Overall, the traffic was not bad until we got close to Boston. We made this trip on a Friday in mid June. I would highly recommend this road trip if you have the time!
